What will you do?
The tour includes a mini-cruise catamaran, snorkelling with equipment provided on board, explanation in navigation of historical and flora-fauna beauties, typical espresso aperitif and circumnavigation of the Isola dei Conigli. A navigation of about 2 hours and a half will be carried out, three bath stops of about half an hour each to the Roman columns, the submerged Madonna and Malva Island during which the staff will provide the snorkeling equipment, then fins, mask and jackets rescue of all measures.
The first stop of the tour is the Isola Grande, known as Isola dei Conigli due to the presence of wild rabbits in the past, today in repopulation, the island is rich in vegetation consisting of pines and acacias. After circumnavigation, continue north on the Gulf of Taranto, to admire the creeks and white beaches with the characteristic dunes.
Next stop with a swim stop is the Torre della Chianca, a natural inlet, an ancient Roman port. Here on the sandy bottom, about 3 meters deep, thanks to the snorkeling equipment provided it is possible to admire impressive Roman marble columns fallen from a ship of the time. Subsequently you will coast the Malva Island.
The navigation continues towards Torre Lapillo at the foot of which there is a swim, with the masks you can see the springs that spring from the rocks and a submarine landscape full of colors and life. In this place you can see the statue of the Madonna dei Naviganti located on the backdrop, dedicated to the victims of the sea, the Costa Concordia and migrants.
Finally, there is a bath break at the Malva Island with shallow waters also suitable for children. The island consists of two types of shoreline, one made of inward beach and the rocky one facing the open sea, populated by seagulls. During the break, the staff will prepare an aperitif based on leccese frisa with tomato, taralli with black olives, fresh seasonal fruit, local wines and various and unlimited drinks.
